When Love Happens, you accessorize

February 3, 2011

My fellow Weddingbee friend Mrs. Lace opened an Etsy shop named When Love Happens.  My boring black and gray-centric wardrobe could definitely use this pop of color.  When I saw this grey chiffon and amethyst ribbon embellished brooch pin, I about died!  It’s got my fave gray and purple combo.  It has the grey and my favorite color to “pop” with… purple!

Isn’t it darling?

If I hadn’t already gotten married, I would consider using these as corsages for our VIP women.  It’s ok though.  With my own pin, I can make everyday a special occasion!

Even though I used it as a brooch here, I’m thinking it would make a great pin for a shawl.  Maybe a detail for an evening clutch.  Maybe I’ll pin it to a headband or bobby it to my hair.  Or maybe I’ll place it up against a framed photo on my nightstand to make me smile before bed.

Any other ideas of what I can do with this pin?

First of all, you look beautiful in your picture with your new corsage/pin. Tres chic! Here’s a new use: pin it to a throw pillow to add to a room’s grey/purple color theme.

  2. Love! I recently picked up a violet flower brooch from J. Crew, but I would much rather get one from one of the Bees– I have to check out Mrs. Lace’s shop 🙂 Mrs. Star and Mrs. Espresso also have lovely Etsy shops w/flower pins!

  3. so pretty! it really dresses things up and adds a bit of fun. great job mrs. lace!

  4. What a beautiful pin!

  5. Thanks for posting about my pin! I am so glad you like it! You can pin it onto a belt or ribbon for a quick embellished sash too. 🙂
